The Government of Armenia has returned to working on the medium-term expenditures program, Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan said during today’s government session.
Sargsyan instructed the ministers to personally control the design process of the program to be completed in July. For that reason, the prime minister commissioned ministers to present written internal documents within two weeks and inform the government about any problems related to the program.
According to Sargsyan, the program must have at its core the provisions stated in the Armenian president’s election platform.
Finance Minister of Armenia Tigran Davtyan, in turn, informed the prime minister that the activities aimed at designing this program are currently taking place without any problems.
In his words, last year the government had temporarily halted the implementation of the program due to the financial crisis. But now, given that the economy has already stabilized, it has been decided to go back to the medium-term expenditures program so as to make feasible forecasts for a three-year period.
