Iran and P5+1 have deadline to achieve agreement

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Vienna on Tuesday. According to Iranian IRNA, Foreign Minister Zarif is to attend the 10th round of nuclear talks with G5+1, 10 days before the deadline ends.

November 24 is set as the deadline to reach a comprehensive nuclear agreement between Iran and the world six powers (US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany.) 

Zarif is accompanied by members of Iran’s negotiating team Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi as well as Deputy Foreign Minister for Political and International Security Affairs Hamid Baeidinejad, Foreign Minister Advisor Davood Mohammadnia, Pejman Rahimian from Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and Mohammad Amiri in charge of the AEOI’s Safeguards Affairs.

This round of talks will start with a working lunch between Zarif and EU nuclear coordinator Catherine Ashton at Iran’s Embassy in Vienna.

Zarif and Ashton are scheduled to discuss latest developments regarding the nuclear issue and in the meantime decide the process of negotiations.

Speaking about the coming negotiations, Zarif on Tuesday hoped that November 24 would be a day of victory for Iranians in achieving their nuclear goals.
