Azerbaijan holds municipal elections

Azerbaijan is holding municipal elections. As Azerbaijani Press Agency reports the polling stations opened at 08.00. The voting will last till 19.00.

Information about voter turnout is being posted on the website of the Central Elections Commission five times a day at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 19:00.

37,077 candidates are running in the municipal elections. 15,035 members will be elected to 11,607 municipalities. 18,790 of them are members of 30 parties. 18,289 of them are non-party candidates. 8 political parties are participating in the elections.
