Armenian and Cypriot Diplomats discussed bilateralt relations

On January 19, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Armenia Georgios Kasulidis (residence in Moscow) handed over copies of his credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Garen Nazarian. Press and inforation department of the RA Foreign Ministry informs about this.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment, the Deputy Minister mentioned, that Armenian-Cypriot relations, founded on historical friendship and shared values, serve as a solid ground for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Deputy Minister wished success to the Cypriot Diplomat in his mission, expressing hope, that the Ambassador will bring new impetus to the expansion of relations and deepening of the cooperation both in bilateral and multi-lateral frameworks.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and wishes, Ambassador Kasulidis noted, that in Cyprus everyone treats the Armenian people and Armenia with warmth and attaches special significance to the development of relations between the two states. He assured that he would spare no efforts in moving forward the dynamic development of comprehensive collaboration between Armenia and Cyprus.

The sides discussed in details issues on the agenda of Armenian-Cypriot relations, i.e. those of political, economic and cultural cooperation, jointly implemented and scheduled projects. They touched upon the events of the Armenian Genocide Centennial.
