French journal refers to the Armenian Genocide

French «Le Droit de Vivre» journal, the first anti-racist one, published an extended piece on Armenia and Armenian Genocide in its January issue. Press and information department of the RA Foreign Ministry informs about this.

Chronology of the Armenian Genocide and the dates of memorable events concerning the Genocide are thoroughly touched upon in the issue. The fight for international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and continuing denial by Turkey are exposed here. The interviews with prominent genocide scholars and experts are presented.

The history of the descendants of numerous Armenians survived the Genocide, considerable part of whom settled in France, is portrayed. In this context, the authors of the piece present the daily life of the Armenian community of France and recent consolidation in the process of recognition of Genocide.

Explosion by terrorists on September 22, 2014, of Armenian Holy Martyrs Church in Der Zor, dedicated to the memory of the Armenian Genocide, which housed the remains of its many victims and condemning reaction of the international community over the explosion are touched upon.

In the part on Armenia, history of different movies filmed in the period from the beginning of the 20th century to our days, dedicated to the Armenian Genocide is presented.
