S. Sargsyan met His Holiness Karekin II and His Holiness Aram I

On January 26 Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting with His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians and His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia. Press service of Armenian President informs about this.

Ahead of the maiden session of the State Commission on Coordination of the events for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide to be held in the next few days this year, the Armenian President, the Supreme Patriarch and the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia discussed the works of the state commission and the involvement of the Armenian Apostolic Holly Church in those works at international and inter-ecclesiastical levels, as well as in the diaspora.

The interlocutors also reflected upon the relationship between the state and the Church and their close cooperation, the vital aspects of national-ecclesiastical life and the present challenges.
