Ambassador of Sweden‬ handed copies of credentials to Edward Nalbandian

On February 16, Foreign Minister Edward ‪‎Nalbandian‬ received newly-appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden Martina ‪‎Quick‬ (residence in Tbilisi) on the occasion of handing over copies of her credentials. Press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry informs about this.

Congratulating Ambassador Quick on her appointment, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that Armenian-Swedish relations significantly activated over the recent years, which was reflected in the intensity of mutual visits, political dialogue, establishment of Embassies in Yerevan and Stockholm, growth of interest of Swedish companies towards Armenia’s economy. Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that during her mission the Ambassador would bring her important input in the expansion of Armenian-Swedish cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and well wishes, Ambassador Quick mentioned that Sweden attaches importance to the enhancement of cooperation with Armenia in different areas. Ambassador Quick reassured that during her mission she would spare no effort for the expansion and strengthening of collaboration between the two states.

The sides thoroughly discussed steps towards the further development of bilateral relations, placed importance to the holding of periodic consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, activation of inter-parliamentary contacts, expansion of business ties.

Armenia-European Union cooperation, range of pressing international issues were touched upon.

Minister Nalbandian presented efforts exerted by Armenia and the ‪OSCE‬ ‪‎Minsk Group‬ towards peaceful settlement of the ‪Nagorno-Karabakh‬ issue.
