Working consultation dedicated to the holding the 2015 parliamentary elections in Artsakh took place

On 28 March Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan convened an enlarged working consultation dedicated to the holding the 2015 parliamentary elections. Central Information Department of the Office of Artsakh Republic President informs about this. 

Representatives of legislative, executive and judicial authorities, political and public sector were invited to the consultation.

In his speech the President qualified the 3 May National Assembly elections as one of the most significant processes relating to the life of the state and society.

President Sahakyan gave concrete instructions to the concerned bodies towards the proper organization of the elections, outlining that everything possible must be done to hold the elections in strict correspondence with the letter and spirit of the law and ensure full exercise of the citizens’ voting rights. According to Bako Sahakyan elections in Artsakh have always been exemplary and current elections must be so too.

The Head of the State outlined that although competition and debates of ideas and thoughts were inevitable during the election campaign, they had to be carried out in a civilized way and in the atmosphere of mutual respect.

National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghoulyan, prime-minister Ara Haroutyunyan and other officials partook in the consultation.
