Park dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Berdzoris laid out

On 29 March Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan was present at the ceremony of laying out a park dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide held in the town of Berdzor and organized at the initiative of the Yerevan State University. Central Information Department of the Office of Artsakh Republic President informs about this. 

The Head of the State together with the republic’s high-ranking officials, students and staff members representing the two Armenian Alma Maters partook at the tree planting activities.

The President signified the existence of such a park in Artsakh and noted that it was a peculiar way to keep the memory of the Genocide victims bright and developing the native land at the same time expressing hope that it would become a place of pilgrimage for the generations to come.

NKR vice-premier Arthur Aghabekyan, minister of science and education Slava Asryan, rector of the Yerevan State University Aram Simonyan and other officials partook in the event.
