Mass protests against New Moldovan Government

As it is reported the approval of candidacy of the Prime Minister Pavel Filip Parliament provoked mass protests in Chisinau.

People who take part in the protest near the Parliament did not know that the government will take the oath at night, notes “Interfax”.

Previously press Secretary of the President Vlad Turcanu officially reported that “the press-service of the President will report on Thursday, the time and place of taking the oath of office, members of the new government”, according to bignews2day.com.

The Secretary General of the office of the President Ion Paduraru confirmed that “the ceremony of taking the oath by the new government was held at the State residence, in the presence of President Nicolae Timofti”.

Earlier on Sunday, the approval of the government headed by Paul Philip, evoked another protest in Moldova.

Riots could be spotted during the protest, about 15 people were killed.
Protestors broke into the Parliament building, but later left it.

The participants of the protest, which will resume on Thursday, demand to cancel the decision of Parliament.

They also demand that President Nicolae Timofti did not sign a Decree approving the composition of the government, as “Parliament’s decision is illegal”.
