Our Army is our church- David Amalyan

Composer David Amalyan and literary critic David Gasparyan said that, although Armenia has lost numerous values since it gained independence, it has obtained an enormously important value, the Armenian Army.

Mr Amalyan, who was a participant in the Nagorno-Karabakh war, said:

“Our Army is our church, the soldiers at the post are sacred to us. You cannot become a patriot by only talking profusely about patriotism. Real patriots fight for their homeland silently.”

Mr Gasparyan said he sees defenders of the homeland in soldiers when he regularly meets with them.

“ I meet with our servicemen from time to time. I see the morale they need to defend the homeland in them.

On the other hand, I feel an extremely great pain when our soldiers are killed by an enemy bullet.”

Mr Gasparyan calls for being on a high alert, because of the constantly changing geopolitical situation.
