Anti-Armenian reports at PACE spurred a wave of anger in Parliament

Levon Zurabyan, an MP of the Armenian National Congress (ANM) party addressed two anti-Armenian reports discussed by the PACE.

He reminded about his proposal submitted at parliamentary hearings to prevent the anti-Armenian reports being put on the PACE agenda.

Samvel Farmanyan, a member of the Armenian delegation to PACE, advised against “proving that black is white” or saber-rattling instead of working.

In response Mr. Zuabyan stated that no extraordinary measures were taken and because of a wrong foreign policy, PACE approved a resolution which deals with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in an unfavorable context.

According to him it might have been prevented, with “post factum” discussions to follow.

Galust Sahakyan, Parliament speaker, called on the MPs not to make passions run high.
