Hraparak: Bako Sahakyan against any appointment as Armenian National Security Council Sec

David Babayan, Spokesman to the President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) in response to the newspaper’s question about constitutional reforms said:

“That issue is not on the political agenda. No progress has yet been made.

If any of the political forces propose, we’ll decide on our steps.”

NKR President Bako Sahakyan’s term of office expires in 2017.

“I do not think it is individuals’ proposals that will account for adoption of a new Constitution. If proposals are made, the deadline is not a principal issue.

It may be sooner or later or never at all.”

Asked if Mr Sahakyan is laying claims to the post of Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia, he said that reports are mere speculations.

According to Mr Sahakyan’s circle, he objects to any appointments as he is no going to leave Nagorno-Karabakh.
