Tusk accused Russia of worsening situation in Syria

The European Council President Donald Tusk announced in Brussels on February 9 that Russia’s actions “worsens the already bad situation” in Syria.

“As a direct result of Russia’s military campaign hideous Assad regime strengthens the position, the moderate opposition retreats, and also thousands of refugees are fleeing to Turkey and the European side,” he said at a joint press conference with the Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
