Armenian parliament speaker received Dutch envoy

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan on February 10 hosted Johannes Douma, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia, reports the parliaments press service.

The Armenian parliament speaker highlighted the active bilateral political dialogue and the rapprochement of the inter-parliamentary cooperation, noting that current level of the relations is not yet insufficient.

Galust Sahakyan stressed that in the relations of the states as open institutes, the parliaments of the countries are of great importance, and they promote the development and the strengthening of the bilateral ties.

Mr Sahakyan highlighted in this context the cooperation at the international platforms, as well as in political, trade-economic and cultural spheres.

The sides also addressed the Armenia-EU legal cooperation deals and the joint programs to be implemented under the legal document.

Thanking Mr Sahakyan for the reception, Ambassador Johannes Douma said that Armenia is a reliable partner for the European Union and promised to promote further the development of the Armenia-EU cooperation.
