Risk of Russia-NATO collision on Turkish-Syrian border- Davutoglu

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu warned that a war may be unleashed between Russia and NATO on the Syrian border, according to the Turkish “Ahaber.com.tr” website, on an official visit to the Netherlands Davutoglu told the local NOS TV, repots Ermenihaber.am.

During the interview, the Turkish Prime Minister, reminding the Russian military intervention in Georgia and Ukraine, said:

“Russia is playing a dangerous game. There is a risk of Russia-NATO collision on the Turkish-Syrian border”.

In response to the question whether the accumulation of the troops on the Syrian border means that Turkey is going to interfere in military operations, Davutoglu said that Turkey has no such plans and it respects the norms of international law.

“But if we are attacked, we will certainly respond ,” he emphasized.
