Armen Ashotyan talks about possible resignation

Armen Ashotyan, Armenia’s minister of education and science, on Saturday commented on his possible resignation, thanking those people who highly evaluated his work.

“There was criticism, which was absolutely natural. I have not died and have no plans to be politically dead in the foreseeable future.

People normally do not speak about a politician who dies.”
He added that it’s really important for each politician to start a new chapter.

“With my team and work over the past years, I have very densely filled that chapter.

And that chapter was really hard in terms of the workload.

But it was important to thumb it through, which I really did – psychologically and legally – amid the political processes, because I am a minister.”

He refrained from commenting on his future career.
