German vandals attacked exhibit devoted to Armenian Genocide

“1915-2015. The Armenian Architecture and Genocide” exhibition opened in the German city of Aachen, was attacked by unknown vandals, reports “Armenpress” citing the Turkish Demokrathaber.net.

The Armenian cultural life and architectural structures under the rule of the Ottoman Empire and the current state of architectural monuments 100 years later are demonstrated in the exhibition.

The exhibition posters were torn and damaged with knife or other cutting instruments by unknown vandals.

Investigation was launched in respect of the vandalism.

The incident made a stir in the German press.

The local ‘Zeitung’ newspaper published the news of the attack with epigram ‘Vandaliz’.
