Turk who killed Russian pilot of Su-24 arrested
The Syrian government forces have followed and caught up the Turkish commander who killed Oleg Peskov, the Russian pilot of the Su-24 aircraft which was eliminated in the area of the Turkish-Syrian border on November 24, last year.
As reports "Armenpress" the Turkish "Haber 7" informed citing the semi-official Fars news agency, which in its turn cited the “Russia today” channel’s Arabic service report.
There are no thorough details on the identity or the arrest of the Turkish militant.
After the incident, rumors emerged in the Turkish media that the so-called "Turkmen squads" fighting against the Syrian government are regarded to be the members of the “Grey wolves” which is considered to be the wing of the Turkish “National movement” party.
On November 24, the Russian Su-24 aircraft was eliminated by the Turkish Air Force in the Syrian area 1 km away from the Turkish border.
Both pilots were ejected.
During the descend with the parachute, the Turkish commander of the Turkmen armed group, has killed one of the pilots.
One of the members of the Russian group which was sent for the rescue operations of the pilots, was also killed in the fire.
After the incident, a number of economic sanctions were imposed on Turkey prohibiting the import of the Turkish products since January 1, 2016.
