Armenian women are snipers, border defenders, special-purpose fighters-Seyran Ohanyan

The Armenian army has passed a great way with hardships, wars and military actions on the way, which was supported not only by men, but also by women.

Our story allows us to say that the woman is not only the cornerstone of the family, but if necessary, has taken a gun, defended our borders and formed our history.

Is not it heroism to be the follower of Aram Manukyan’s words, which say that the Armenian mothers realize that it is the high time to sacrifice their sons to the Homeland.

If they do not realize the grandeur of their positions, our Homeland will be lost.

Throughout our history, Armenians have been suppressed, but we always appeared to be stronger, this strength comes from Armenian women as well ,” said Seyran Ohanyan at the event dedicated to International Women’s Day, at the RA MoD Administrative Complex, claiming that the armed forces would not be able to continue carrying out its tasks without women’s consolidated presence, be it non-combat or combat units.

“They are snipers today, special unit of fighters, defenders of the border. Moreover, they are a great complement to the army command chain.”
