Armenian women in Parliament two or three times less than in Muslim countries-Larisa Alaverdyan

Armenia’s first Human Rights Defender Larisa Alaverdyan March 8 is a day of struggle for women’s rights.

According to her, women around the world have achieved many things, but there is still a lot to do, especially in Armenia.

“The women in the Armenian Parliament are two or three times less than in many Muslim countries. Second, although the ruling party has made the women’s involvement in parliament a goal, but the list includes women who are not known for their fighting strong character,” said Larisa Alaverdyan.

However, the International Women’s Day is yet another occasion for us to recall the Armenian man’s image, which is again brought up by a woman, Armenia’s first ombudsperson said, appreciating the feat of the Nagorno-Karabakh war heroes.

“Twenty-five years have passed ever since, but this is too short a period to forget the deeds of the Armenian men who received women’s support.

We were able to push back the hazard that threatened the Armenians, and Armenia.

We have very few literary works today, dedicated to those days’ heroes,” Larisa Alaverdyan said at a news conference on Tuesday, warning against any attempts to put an equal sign between men and women.
