Serzh Sargsyan to visit Russian Federation

Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian president is starting a working trip to the Russian Federation on Wednesday, the presidential press service reports.

The Armenian leader will meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to discuss plans for developing the strategic partnership in trade and economy, investments, energy, humanitarian and other sectors.

The Armenian and Russian presidents are expected to exchange views on the current stage of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, the existing problems and possibilities for further progress as well.

Mr Sargsyan, who is also the president of the Chess Federation of Armenia, is scheduled to attend the official opening ceremony of the Candidates Chess Tournament on second day of his visit.
