Armenia’s authorities willing to rule out frauds in elections by new electoral law-Eduard Sharmazanov

Vice-Speaker of Armenia’s Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters on Wednesday that Armenia’s new election law is not supposed to ensure the authorities’ reproduction for formal changes.
According to him, Armenia’s political elite is willing to resolve the problem.

“We have the political will to rule out nasty post-election developments and opposition forces’ unfounded claims about their victory,” Mr Sharmazanov said. Irrespective of which political forces win elections, it is up to the people to decide.

“With this end in view, we have to reach a consensus by listening to every one of them.

We do not claim all the proposals by the opposition forces will be accepted, but we are ready to accept realistic and rational proposals.

The final version of the draft election law will be developed after discussions with all the political forces.”
