Armenian Human Rights Defender’s Office got “A” class highest international status

Armenian Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan has been informed on the other day that the Ombudsmen International Committee presented “A” class status to the Armenian Human Rights Defender’s Office. Press service of the Office informs about this.

Such status is often given to those ombudsmen who are able to be free, independent and are able to discuss and solve problems objectively. Ombudsmen International Committee has studied the activities of Armenian Human Rights Defender’s Office during the last two years and it was confirmed as a result that Armenian Human Rights Defender’s Office works according to the Parisian principles and has all standards to get the highest status.

“A” class status is important not only for the Ombudsman but also for the country’s authority.
