An event to commemorate memory of Sumgayit pogroms’ victims took place in Washington

On February 23 holy mass was served at Armenian Apostolic Church in Washington and an event took place to commemorate 26th anniversary of Sumgayit massacres. Press and information department of Armenian Foreign Ministry informs about this.

Armenian Ambassador to the USA Tatul Margaryan, representatives of NKR mission and members of Armenian community in the USA.  

Armenian Ambassador delivered speech and rated the organized actions by the Armenian community in the USA. 

On the same day holy mass was served also at another Armenian church in Washington.
