Azerbaijani Colonel is arrested over bribery

A former officer of the Azerbaijani Naval Forces has been arrested over bribery. Azerbaijani Press Agency informs about this. 

According to the Baku Military Court 56-year-old reserve naval officer, Colonel Gasim Guliyev faced charges under the Criminal Code’s Article #311 (taking bribe) and was sentenced to pretrial detention.

Earlier, APA reported that Military Prosecutor’s Office and Ministry of Finance have started carrying out comprehensive inspections in the Azerbaijani Naval Forces.

6 servicemen of the Naval Forces were detained.
