D. Medvedev: We will not allow our citizens to become hostage to political games

The exchange of “black lists” with the West is absolutely a dead-end road, but in any case, Russia will not allow its citizens to be held hostages to political games, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday. Ria NOVOSTI writes about this.

“We will not allow our citizens to become hostage to political games,” Medvedev said during his annual report in the lower house of parliament on Tuesday.

“Of course, we can keep exchanging black lists, but I do not even believe it is necessary now, to prove, from this tribune, that this is an absolute impasse,” said the prime minister.

Remind, that Western countries imposed targeted sanctions against a number of Russian politicians and businessmen as well as against Bank Rossiya after Crimea held a referendum last month in which over 96 percent of voters supported leaving Ukraine and joining Russia.
