Armenian newspapers today: new positions in new government

“Yerkir” newspaper writes that “Rule of Law” party will have ministerial posts in the new Government and will keep the posts of Minister of Agriculture and the Emergency Situations. Armen Yeritsyan will remain in his post and Sergo Karapetyan’s issue is still doubtful. Leader of the party tried to get one more place but the RPA told that only two ministerial places can be given to the “Rule of Law”, the newspaper writes.

As “Haykakan zhamanak” writes Armenian Republican Party (RPA) has already decided who will become deputy speaker of Armenian Parliament. According to the newspaper the issue of Armenian Parliament Speaker is decided and Hovik Abrahamyan will get this position.

The newspaper is sure that current speaker Samvel Nikoyan will be the deputy speaker of the National Assembly. Sambel Nikoyan announced many times especially recently that he will not leave the Parliament.  As Nikoyan’s and Abrahamyan’s relations are strained Abrahamyan tried to give the position of the NA deputy speaker to Galust Sahakyan, but PM T. Sargsyan claimed Nikoyan will get the position. According to the newspaper G. Sahakyan will continue leading RPA fraction in the Parliament and Eduard Sharmazanov will become fraction secretary.

“Hraparak” newspaper presented the versions of possibility when “Prosperous Armenia” may create a coalition with RPA. The newspaper presents the maximum and minimum programs for the creation a coalition. According to the newspaper “Prosperous Armenia” will claim to get the position of the Prime Minister. As the newspaper writes Serzh Sargsyan and Gagik Tsarukyan will meet on May 25-26 before the last agreement about the coalition.
