President Sargsyan congratulates Nikolai Rizhkov

On September 28 Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to the Chairman of the Commission for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the RF Federal Assembly, the National Hero of Armenia Nikolai Rizhkov on the occasion of his 85th anniversary. Your many years’ experience of statesmanship, high level of professionalism, analytical mind, leadership qualities and perspicacity have provided a considerable input into the development and success of the contemporary Russia.

Armenians know you well and consider you a faithful friend who has stand beside our people in the hardest times. The Armenian people always remember and appreciate your selfless activity following the devastating earthquake in December 1988. Among Armenia’s glorious children you are the only foreigner who has been fairly awarded the title of “National Hero of Armenia” which is the testimony to the Armenian people’s respect and gratitude towards you.

As the chairman of the Armenian-Russian Commission for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation, you have long made an invaluable contribution to strengthening strategic partnership between our countries.

Dear Nikolai Ivanovich, I wish you good health, a long life and inexhaustible energy of life and I wish your family well-being and harmony,” reads the congratulatory message of the RA President.
