“Armenian Genocide: Front Page Coverage in the World Press” book is presnted

On October 17 at the conference hall of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI), the presentation of the book “Armenian Genocide: Front Page Coverage in the World Press” took place. The author of the book Hayk Demoyan is the director of AGMI, doctor of historical sciences and the Secretary of State Commission on coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

As the offical web-site of the AGMI informs, the book is in two languages: Armenian and English. It was published due to sponsorship of “America” Group.

During the presentation a welcome speech was made by Vigen Sargsyan, the head of RA president staff and the coordinator of the State Commission on coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Tigran Jrbashyan, the development director at “America” Group and Harutyun Marutyan, the doctor of historical sciences and the leading scientific worker of RA National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Archeology and Ethnography came up with speechesas well.

Then, the author Hayk Demoyan presented the creation story of theillustratedbook, which covers the history of the Armenian Genocide, He said: “These pictures are the profiles of the Ottoman Turkey”. He also added that the first three addressees of such a book are the president of Turkey, Turkish Prime Minister and Turkish Foreign Minister. He signed three books and assured that these books will be sent to the recipients.

The illustrated volume includes unique materials from the world press of 19-20th centuries. The collection realistically portrays the Turkish crimes against civilization and humanity, which have constantly been in the limelight of the world’s press attention. Numerous materials can be found from English, French, American, Italian, Russian, Austrian, Czech, German, Norwegian press sources.

These condemning publications about the Turkish violence against Armenians serve as mediated testimonies of the historical actuality of the Armenian Genocide.
