D. Lidington about NK issue: We can only make recommendations and suggestions

“What is happening in Nagorno-Karabakh is tragedy, which affected many people’s lives. I think the conflict should be resolved as soon as possible. The Karabakh conflict has been impeding the regional development for twenty years”. As the Azerbaijani media inform,  UK Minister for Europe David Lidington announced about this at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov.

David Lidington said that the UK stands ready assist the acceleration of the settlement of the conflict.

“However, we can not intervene in the negotiation process. We can only make recommendations and suggestions. I think the parties should discuss common details and reach an agreement”, he added.
