S. Hatspanyan: Hasan Jamal apologized for calling ASALA as "terrorsit group"
Analyst-publicist Sargis Hatspanyan met today journalists and during the press conference referred to Hasan Jamal's latest visit to Yerevan. Hasan Jamal is the grandson of Jamal pasha, one of the main criminals of Armenian Genocide committed in 1915 in Ottoman Empire.
Referring to the accusations and critics toward Hasan Jamal, Hatspanyan said that we must remember: the book is written by a Turk and not by an Armenian. He stated that there are unacceptable points for Armenians in the book, but must be understood, taking into consideration the nationality of the author.
"Armenians may say, that a person in the world, grandson of Jamal pasha, recognizes Armenian Genocide. He accepts that his grandparent is guilty and now says that Armenians and Turks must start a dialogue to overcome the consequences. We should spend some years to find this person, but now he appeared himself", the speaker said. He also underlined that Hasan apologized for calling ASALA as terrorist group and said that it just burst out and it was a mistake.
