Armenian “Genealogy is among semi-finalists in Eurovision 2015 Song Contest

On 19th May, in the evening, in the first show of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, broadcast live from the Wiener Stadthalle, 16 countries took part in the first Semi-final in order to qualify for the 10 places available in Saturday’s final. “We now have our ten qualifiers, and these are as follows, in the order they were announced. Albania, Armenia, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Estonia, Georgia, Serbia, Belgium”, official web-site of the Eurovision Song Contest informs about this. Armenian “Genealogy” group presented song titled “Don’t deny”.

The first ten finalists (beside those already known, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom and Australia), will take part in the Grand Final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place on Saturday the 23rd of May. Another ten finalists will be chosen in the second Semi-Final on 21st of May.

The result was determined by way of a 50/50 split between national expert juries and televoting. The combined scores created the final outcome. In yesterday’s Jury Final, the expert juries already determined their votes for the first Semi-Final by watching the live performances. Televoting took place during the live show.
