Iran offers a dialogue for Syria

Iran’s deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs has underlined the significance of national dialog in Syria as a major step toward the restoration of peace and stability in the region. Iran attaches significance to the full establishment of the ceasefire in Syria and national dialogue with the presence of the representatives of the entire nation and government as an important step toward calm for the Syrian people and peace and stability in the region, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Monday. Iranian Press TV informs about this.
Abdollahian said foreign interference, support for “irresponsible armed groups” and US-Israeli attempts to suppress the Syrian people and government constitute the fundamental issues in the Arab country. Iran has repeatedly expressed its readiness to host the talks between the Syrian government and opposition in a bid to end the violence in the Arab nation.
Earlier on October, Amir-Abdollahian said the national dialogue among various Syrian groups would be held in one of the regional countries or probably in the Iranian capital of Tehran in the near future. Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 and many people, including large numbers of security forces, have been killed in the turmoil.
