Electoral reforms to rule out vote fabrication – official

A senior cabinet official claims reforms proposed the Electoral Code of Armenia are expected to rule out vote rigging, making the process transparent.
David Harutyunyan, Minister-Chief of Staff at the Armenian Government, said that the electronic voting and electronic control mechanisms are most likely to apply to the voter registration procedure.
“First, no final decision has been made as yet; secondly, let me note that the electoral process can be divided into two rounds: voter registration and voting. We are kind of more inclined to [apply the system] to the registration to make the process electronic; as for the second round, we haven’t yet arrived at a final decision,” he told Tert.am.
