Georgia cancels visa regime with Iran

Tehran and Tbilisi should improve relations in all fields.

As reports “Armenpress” citing the Iranian Press TV channel, said the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili yesterday.

“The economic and cultural cooperation between Iran and Georgia should be strengthened in accordance with the interests of the two peoples”, said Rouhani.

The Iranian president added that Tehran and Tbilisi have great potential of improving economic cooperation and noted that the cancellation of the visa regime will help to improve relations between the two countries.

In his turn, Giorgi Kvirikashvili said that Georgia is ready to open a new chapter in bilateral relations.

The prime Minister of Georgia  said that he is to visit Tehran in the near future, as well as  invited the Iranian President to visit Georgia.
