Armenian economy on new level of development-US ambassador

Armenia’s economy has reached a level of reforms and developments, which is attractive to US investments. This view has been expressed by the US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills.

“President Obama’s comments reflect the priorities of the US government and the Embassy to Armenia, particularly referring to the US investments and trade.

Last year, there were important developments, including the Vorotan Hydrocascade’s deal, one of the largest American investment made in the country as well as a Trade and Investment Framework agreement signed between US and Armenia.

“In my opinion all this reflect the fact that Armenia’s economy has reached a new level of reforms and developments, appealing to the US to make investments in the country,” noted the ambassador.

Richard Mills noted that the lifting of sanctions on Iran can make Armenia an important platform for the expansion of American business with Iran.

According to him, the Embassy’s goal is to attract more investments as well as to reduce corruption.
