Zhirinovsky offered to submit territorial claims to Turkey, including Western Armenia

The leader of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky offered to submit territorial claims to Turkey in response to the fact that Ankara does not recognize the annexation of Crimea to Russia.

According to the “Rusnovosti”, the Russian politician has made such an interpretation after the statement of the Turkish representative made at the Ahmet Davutoğlu and Arseniy Yatsenyuk joint press conference.

“I think that we, in response, must recognize the Turkish Kurdistan, demanding the return of the lands of Western Armenia, as well as Bulgarians and Greeks can submit their claims, and at this time nothing will remain of Turkey,” Zhirinovsky said.

The Russian deputy also accused Davutoglu of being illiterate reminding the Kyuchuk-Kaynarjii peace agreement which was signed in 1774 between Russia and the Ottoman Empire, whose successor is the Republic of Turkey.

“He is a illiterate man, he is not aware that we have acquired Crimea as a result of the Turkey’s defeat when the peace agreement Kyuchuk-Kaynarjii was signed.

Ukraine has nothing to do here”, said Zhirinovsky.
