Europe allowed commercial flights across Crimea

The European Aviation Safety Agency(EASA) reported that airlines will resume flights over Crimea, reports “Armenpress”.

The agency allowed the European airline to use 2 routes within the district of Simferopol.

The flights will be coordinated and controlled by the Ukrainian air-control services.

In April 2014, EASA warned about serious risks for commercial flights, because of the legal uncertainty of the Simferopol region and offered to avoid flights over Crimea.

Now, despite the fact that legal problems still persist, EASA has reported that “a reliable mechanism for risk control ” was established.

For the flight planning the airlines are recommended to use the information provided by Ukraine.
