Europol warns about IS’s plans to carry out terrorist acts in Europe

Europol warns about the plans of the terrorist group “Islamic State” to carry out comprehensive terrorist attacks in Europe, the Director of the EU police service Rob Wainwright said in an interview, published on the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung” newspaper, reports “Armenpress”.

“Europe currently faces the biggest terrorist threat of the past 10 years”, he said.

According to the Europol data, from 3 to 5 thousand citizens of the European countries, who have undergone training in the terrorist camps, have returned home.

“The growing number of foreign fighters creates completely new challenges for the EU member states,” warned Wainwright.

He stressed that there is a risk both from the Islamist groups and individual extremists, reported TASS.
