Russia and US to strike ceasefire violators in Syria
Moscow does not rule out that Russia and the US will jointly strike the existing groups in Syria which are not to join the ceasefire, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told RIA Novosti, “Armenpress” reports.
According to the US-Russian joint declaration published on February 22, a cesefire between the government forces and opposition armed groups should be established on February 27, but the attacks on “Islamic State” and “Jabhat al-Nusra” and other terrorist groups recognized by the UN will continue.
Responding to the recent statements made by the Syrian Free Army brigade commanders that they will not join the ceasefire, if it does not cover the “Jabhat al-Nusra”, Bogdanov said:
“It means we will strike.
I think we and the US will jointly strike all those who will not join the ceasefire.
It is also mentioned in our joint declaration”.
