We develop military-technical cooperation with Armenia, Baku must understand- Russian Foreign Ministry
Moscow does not conceal the fact of military-technical cooperation with Armenia and calls on Azerbaijan to understand it, said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, reports TASS.
“Through diplomatic channels we informed Azerbaijan that Russia and Armenia have partnership relations including developing military-technical cooperation.
It ( the military-technical cooperation with Armenia) is a well-known fact, this cooperation is conducted openly and transparently.
We hope that Azerbaijan will show apprehensive approach towards the fact”, she said.
According to her, Moscow takes into account all the regional threats while the arm supply.
“ Any arm supply by Russia to Armenia or Azerbaijan, is carried out taking into consideration the balance of the region", she said.
Earlier, Azerbaijan sent a protest note to Russia for giving a loan of $ 200 million within the framework of the sale of military equipment and armaments to Armenia, which read:
"The modern, including offensive arm type supply does not contribute to the settlement of the conflict and leads to tensions in the region."
