‘Enemies behind the hill’ began their preparations for parliamentary elections-Putin
Putin has no doubts that launched the ant-terrorist operations in Syria on time.
At the Federal Security Service (FSB) board meeting, the Russian president stressed that it is important to close the country’s area in front of militants from the Middle East and other regions, promptly identify and neutralize those who are involved in terrorist activities abroad.
Speaking about the Russian-US joint statement on Syrian ceasefire, Putin hinted that the document will serve as a signal for the settlement of the Syrian crisis through political means in terms of creating necessary conditions for it.
“Of course, we all understand and take it into consideration that it is going to be easy to deal with the contradictory process of reconciliation but there is no another way than a peaceful settlement.
There is an urgent need for a ceasefire in order to create an inter-Syrian complete dialogue with the participation of all constructive forces”, Putin said.
The Russian leader confirmed that the military operations against the “Islamic State” and other terrorist groups will continue after the establishment of the ceasefire.
“On February 27, at midnight, Syrian local time, a ceasefire will be established with those armed groups which will announce about the readiness to stop the fire.
No military actions against these groups are to be conducted by the Syrian, Russian and US coalition forces”, he said reminding that it does not apply to IS, " Jabhat al-Nusra” and other groups that are recognized as terrorist by the UN Security Council.
In the context of the fight against the terrorism, Putin considered the development of cooperation with the foreign partners to be of vital importance, primarily referring to the CSTO, UN and Shanghai organizations.
At the Federal Security Service (FSB) board meeting, the Russian President referring to the State Duma elections, warned:
“Foreign intelligences got activated, the enemies “behind the hill” has begun their preparations for the Duma elections.
We should prevent any foreign interference in our political life”.
