Putin confirms increase of rates of excise duties on petrol and diesel since April 1

The Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the increase of excise rates on petrol and diesel since April 1, 2016 which introduced changes to article 193 CC RF Tax Code.

The bill was passed by the State Duma by the first and final reading on Friday.

In particular, the rate of motor gasoline excise tax is to increase by 2 rubles for 1 liter of gasoline, 5th class motor gasoline excise which is to operate from April 1, 2016 to December 31, will be 10 130 rubles for per ton.

Excise rate is to increase by 1 ruble for  per liter of diesel.

Thus. from April 2016 to December 31, the diesel fuel excise will amount to 5 293 rubles for per ton.

Middle distillate excise tax will be the same as for the diesel fuel.
