Vzglyad-Turkey’s largest loss recorded
The US-Russian agreement in Syria will have a major impact on neighboring countries, especially on Turkey.
Erdogan does not like the Obama and Putin’s agreement, out of a number of reasons, but he can not subvert it in any way.
What does this agreement mean to Turkey and what measures will it further undertake?
The Turkish authorities had to officially accept the agreement- the ceasefire regime between Damascus and various opposition groups, as it would be strange to call for the continuation of the war.
But Turkey made such reservation, which blatantly demonstrated its dissatisfaction.
"The Syrian ceasefire was a generally positive one and will help our Syrian brothers to breathe. However, the truce supports the Assad regime ... We are concerned that this agreement will end up with more catastrophic consequences, "said Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Later, Erdogan has openly labeled this agreement unfair and announced his disappointment over this fact, saying:
"The West, US, EU, Russia, Iran and UN, unfortunately, no longer stand up for the preservation of human values."
He demanded to take into account the interests of Turkey, calling for the total change of the agreement.
" If the ceasefire regime does not extend on the "Islamic state " and "Jepet an-Nusra "groups, it shall not apply to the Kurdish " Democratic Society" and "National self-defense groups', "Erdogan said.
Currently Erdogan does not handle any political opportunity to be able to influence the situation in Syria, the Turkish military operations are ruled out.
Turks do not want to fight with the Syrian Kurds, as they realize they will suffer significant amount of losses.
Ankara believes that when the Assad's forces and the Syrian Kurds take control of the entire northern border of Syria, they will provoke the Turkish Kurds to unleash new acts of terrorism, then nightmare will await for Turkey.
The "An-Nusra" and "Caliphate" forces can not for a long time withstand the attacks of the Kurds and the Syrian government forces, under the patronage of the Russian Aviation, and sooner or later they will seize the northern Syria.
