EU presented deadline to Turkey

The EU presented deadline to Turkey to suspend or reduce the entry of illegal immigrants to Europe, reports “Armenpress” citing the Russian “Ria Novosti”.

Hans Jorg Haber, the head of the EU delegation to Turkey said that Turkey should stop or significantly reduce the number of illegal immigrants arriving in Europe until June 1, when Ankara- Brussels agreement enters into force.

The joint action plan was approved at the EU-Turkey summit held on November 29.

In this framework, Turkey should contribute to a reduction of the flow of immigrants to the EU, to ensure the best conditions for reception of refugees in its territory, instead, receiving financial support of 3 billion euros, the EU membership negotiations’ activation and facilitation of the visa regime.
