Warlick to discuss Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement in Georgia

Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is to be discussed in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, reports “Armenpress,” citing OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair James Warlick, who posted on his Twitter account:

“I have just arrived in Tbilisi and waiting for the discussion on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement,” he said.

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict arose in 1991, as the Azerbaijani authorities made efforts to solve the issue in response to the demand to accept the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh, carrying and launching large-scale military operations which left thousands dead and caused considerable material damage.

The armistice was signed in 1991. Negotiations on the issue are underway on the initiative of OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs (Russia, USA, France).
