EU ambassadors decide to extend validity of black list drawn up for Russia for six months

On March 9, Ambassadors of the 28 EU member states, at a regular meeting in Brussels, decided to extend the validity of the black list drawn up for Russia and the breakaway republics of eastern Ukraine, Tass was informed by a source in the EU Council, reports “Armenpress.

“Today EU ambassadors approved the lengthening of restrictive measures for half-year”, he said noting that the decision now should be officially approved by all EU-28 countries and then published on the official journal of the Union.

According to the diplomat, three people were excluded from the black list, thus, extended sanctions against Russia and Ukraine are for 146 citizens.

Moreover, the sanctions will continue to be valid for 37 organizations.
