Jens Stoltenberg thanked Armenia for support in Afghanistan and Kosovo

Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg at the meeting held with Armenian Foreign and Defense Ministers Edward Nalbandian and Seyran Ohanyan in Brussels, expressed his gratitude for the Armenian support to NATO missions in Afghanistan and Kosovo.

According to the press department of NATO, Ministers Nalbandian and Ohanyan also met with ambassadors of NATO countries, during which they discussed issues related to Armenia’s cooperation with NATO and regional security.

NATO’s Secretary-General welcomed Armenia’s commitment to implementation of the NATO Building Integrity program, as well as the implementation of 1325 resolution of the UN Security Council (resolution related to women, peace and security).

Yans Stoltenberge also stressed Armenia’s continuous cooperation with NATO in fields of education defense, reform defense as well as the operation of the civil service in emergency situations.
