Obama offers Syrian Government to destroy chemical weapons in international waters

The Obama administration is offering to destroy some of Syria’s deadliest chemical weapons in international waters aboard a massive, government-owned ship. One News writes about this referring to US officials. 

According to the source, the plan, still subject to final approval, would involve destroying the weapons, likely aboard the MV Cape Ray in the Mediterranean Sea, with US Navy warships patrolling nearby.

This approach would avoid the vexing diplomatic, environmental and security problems posed by disposing of the materials on any nation’s soil.

The USA claimed that Syrian Government has chemical weapon. This nearly caused strict sanctions against Syria, but the international society was against it. The USA gave time to Syrian Government. Assad refuses having the chemical weapon. 

Clashes and disorders in Syrian started since March, 2011. Civil war in the caountry caused thousands of deats. Thousands of people became refuges.
